Joie (pronounced "Joy") Lenz joined the cast of the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light, in November 1998 as Michelle Bauer, the proverbial girl-next-door whose marriage to mobster Danny Santos shocked both their families. With Michelle and Danny now happily married, nothing can stand in the way of their happiness - or so it seems.

Lenz was previously seen on Guiding Light when she played the teenage clone of "Reva Shayne." Her nine episode stint was well-received by fans and the press, earning her the following praise in Soap Opera Weekly: "With a striking display of imagination, and an ability to play subtext [...] Lenz seized the challenge—a formidable one, indeed!—and turned it into an arresting exercise in acting. In so doing [...] she gave Clone Reva a heart, a soul, a human dimension."

Lenz began her career in Dallas, Texas, as a student at local acting schools, and in a multitude of both community and professional theaters. A veteran of commercials, such as Dr. Pepper and Eggo Waffles, she recently tested for several prime-time pilots, including Burning Down the House with Paul Sorvino, and 1973, in which she starred.

Lenz is a talented singer with nearly a four-octave range. She has also written a screenplay, and is working on another, as well as a television pilot. She starred in the ABC-TV movie Mary & Rhoda, in which she played Mary Tyler Moore's daughter. The 18 year-old Lenz recently graduated from high school in New Jersey. Her birthday is April 2.
