When I saw Peter's callsign on the computer screen at first,I thought a local ham made a mistake as most beginner packeteers do. As it wasn't the 2nd packet via the digital repeater, but a simplex signal on VHF.

The next day, I saw the call again so I connected to him on packet mode and told him in Korean on key board    " Your callsign might be wrong. you may need to change your callsign..." But he answered back to me in English, with greetings the following; " Hi,there. My name is Peter from Germany..."

He has visited Pusan a few times on business and found there were some packet activities on VHF. Then he brought a small pocket-sized computer and a tiny TNC with hand-held tranceiver.

We don't have reciprocol agreements of Amateur Radio with Germany, but it was an intereting contact through the radio. He ocasionally visits Pusan and leaves a short line on my personal BBS if he doesn't have enough time to meet me.
