Have you ever heard about 'Honor Roll' or 'Top Honor Roll' which is a really difficult DX award by ARRL?  When you work and confirm all countries in the world,you can get the award.  I don't think I even start on such a hard job.

Mike,UA0MF was awarded as the first 'Top Honor Roll' in Russia.  However he missed one new country again several years ago. That's P5 expedition, only 18 QSOs were made in the world.  He missed it because he guided the expedition team to go to the border of North Korea at that time.

He manages international business for the company in Vladivostok.  A competent knowledge of English which he improved through Ham Radio must have been also helpful for the post.

After Korea started to trade with Russia in early 1990's, he often visited Pusan, where I live, the biggest harbor in Korea.  In 1995, he celebrated his birthday in Pusan with me and Yuni,HL5BTF.

He liked Korean food and Soju very much.  I still can't believe the amount of Soju he drunk.  Soju is a 25 degree Korean distilled liquor so I thought it would be strong to him as well, but he said it tasted like water as compared with Vodka.  I wonder that's usual with Russian due to the extremely cold weather.
