name : Roy Hafeli Leaving Vancouver, near to the border of United States, to the east for the start of a
scenic drive along the north side <Roy's house covered
all over with snow> Farther east along the
Fraser River you can
also meet Mission,
home of the Ruskin Dam and the Fraser River Heritage Regional Park. Roy lives
on the high altitude at about the six hundred foot level, near to Mission. He is the Municipal Amateur Coordinator for the District of Mission, which means he
is responsible for the emergency preparedness of all the hams in the area. You can
visit the Mission Ham Club webpage to
http://www.freeyellow.com/members2/ve7ibj/index.html Actually, We haven't had a real radio QSO because Roy has got only V,UHF
facilities. The Anyhow, it is a good way to have stable QSOs, regardless of radio propagation. It was also fun when I occasionally met some hams whom I had already met on HF. |
