HL5KY How we met

HL5BTF
I joined the Ham Radio Club(HL0M) in my university years. After getting my license, I spoke to many hams all over the world. The qso was really helpful to improve my foreign language ability. Studying and making good friendships through the radio was a lot of fun to me.

I also opened my own station as HL5BTF in 1987.but the radio system wasn't good enough to talk to the distance. Most of time,I used the equipments at the club of the university.

I was so active on the radio that sometimes the other club members couldn't grasp the microphone, because I had several regularly scheduled conversations on the weekend.

Before I graduated from my university, I told a friend of mine in Australia that I wouldn't be able to talk to him so often. He was very sorry to hear that and eventually he sent a whole set of HF radio and antenna. Another friend sent me several things for the antenna, and some local hams also helped me to erect the antenna. Those were really friendly things of the Amateur Radio. Special thanks to : VK4BTF(ex-VK4VJY), VK5YM, HL2BCW(ex-HL5BCW).

I upgraded to a 1st class ham license in 1996. But unfortunately, I don't  have much time for the radio these days, as I have
my own job, as well as responsibilities as a mother and housekeeper. Hopefully,I can find many ham friends on the radio when the propagation gets better.
