- P.J.S. is sanctioned by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs of Japan, and by those agencies of Korea. This school is recognized
the same as the public schools of Japan about the courses of study, but
in Korea it is recognized as a special training school(A-2).
- This school has both elementary and middle sections. The qualification
for entrance is ˇČThe student who has the nationality or permanent residence
of Japan" by the request of the Korean government.
- Students of this school are the children of Japanese people: the consuls
at the Consulate-General of Japan in Pusan, Japanese residents on business
in Korea, Japanese residents at the amalgamated enterprises, traders, self-managers,
the staff of this school from Japan, and Koreans who have permanent residency
in Japan.
- The staff of this school is composed of teachers from Japan and Korean
teachers who are appointed by the Education Board of the Pusan Japanese
School.
- The curriculum of this school conforms to the courses of study in Japan.
There are two main educational aspects of the school. One is that the materials
of Pusan are often adopted to use for teaching subjects, moral education,
and special activities. And the other is that the classes of Korean and
the English Conversation are held every week.
