- Features of the school
- This school is the nearest to Japan among overseas Japanese Schools in the world. It is near Kwangan Beach, in the north-eastern part of Pusan. Pusan is in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula and we can see Tsushima far away when the weather is clear.
This school was established by the efforts of the Pusan Japanese Committee, and other related organizations, and also was sanctioned by the governments of both Japan and Korea on October 1, 1975. Though this school is small, the school grounds, facilities and equipment are appropreate.
As this school is small, all the students are divided into six groups. Each group is formed by the different-aged students. In order to make the best of the school's features, we request that the students study and play independently at the meeting- activities, the activities of the student council, while cleaning, and during school events.
In order to educate international understanding, we orient the students' development toward internationalzation through the classes we teach, through the exchange meeting with Korean schools and the foreign schools in Pusan.
In order to further basic scholastic abilities, and develop students' willingness to learn independently, we connected to the internet in 1997. By doing so, we continuously recieve additional educatiional infomation, thereby growing students in the basic scholastic abililties as Japanese people. This will exert thorough career guidance for the future of the students.
